Corporate Governance Code of Ukraine

The joint project of Ukrainian Corporate Governance Academy and National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine to support the ongoing corporate governance reform of listed and unlisted companies in Ukraine by reviewing the existing National Principles of Corporate Governance, approved by NSSMC on July 22, 2014 (the Principles).

The introduction of an updated version of the Principles will result in a comprehensive Corporate Governance Code of Ukraine that will change the perception of soft law documents and improve the governance practices in Ukraine, as well as the development of effective benchmarks in the relationships between companies with investors, managers, employees and the state as a whole.

The project will update the key pillars of corporate governance in listed and unlisted companies: shareholder rights, governing bodies (management and supervisory boards), disclosure and audit, stakeholders and introduce an effective structure of the document and modern vocabulary according to the global standards.
